Care Quality

Commission

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. They rated Bentham Surgery: Good.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.

Their role is to ensure that all health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and they encourage care service providers to always be looking to improve the level of service they provide.  They do this through regulated visits to all health care providers including GP practices.  They have only been doing this for a few years now and many practices have yet to have their first visit.  Bentham was one of the first practices to be inspected in the Autumn of 2013 and achieved the best score possible at the time in all areas.  It is likely another visit will happen soon.
